Trip to Washington

We just got back from our trip to Washington and had an absolute BLAST!!!! There was SO much that went on and we thought we would share it with you! The day after we got the we went to Aaron's friend Jake Muai's open house. We were so bumbed we didn't bring our camera because it was beautiful!!! We were each given lei's and the party was in the yard which was huge!! They had a (there isn't another word for it) feast and then 3 different kinds of cake. I had a white with coconut cream frosting. It was so fun to finally meet Jake after hearing all of Aaron's stories. Then later on in the we one morning we woke up early and took a walk with the dogs along the Puget Sound. Kayden wasn't too sure about the board walk at first but once he saw Kaiser walking on it, he was okay with it.We also went to the zoo with Aaron's sister Crystal and Sister-in-law, Trish, and their kids. It was so HOT and eventually we all got cranky and tired so we called it a day. Aaron's brother Brian has the hook ups so one night we got to go to the Ranier Game but I think Aaron enjoyed that more than me. Towards the end of the week we decided to go camping in West Port with Brian & Trish's Family along with some others from their ward. We walked to the ocean. I wanted to swim in it but Aaron thought seeing as we weren't able to take a shower, the sand might rub me raw. But i ended up getting pretty drenched anyway. Then when we got back to Tacoma, Aaron's parents took us to the Portland, Oregon Temple since the Seattle Temple is being worked on. It was the first time I had ever been to the Temple with Aaron since being married. And the first time I had(with in memory) been inside another Temple other than Billings. AND the first time i had been in a Temple with stairs. It was so beautiful but hot! After we hit a Thai Restaurant but there was a sushi bar next door so we grabbed some to go. I had one with just cucumbers and avocado with rice wrapped in seaweed. The seaweed was a little chewy so i didn't like it. But the other one i tried had smoked Salmon, cream cheese, and avocado with rice and sesame. That was pretty good but i guess I'm just not a fan of the sticky rice. Anywho....We had a blast being there and visiting family!! Thank you everyone in Washington especially my mother and father-in-law's for housing us. You made our vacation so fun!!!!
